2. One major player is Google billionaire Eric Schmidt. He has become an influential adviser to the Pentagon and Congress—and he's been pushing artificial intelligence for war.

In 2019, he invested in the startup Rebellion Defense that sells AI to soldiers and spies.
3. What is Rebellion Defense? Its name comes from Star Wars, but it’s no fun-loving tech company. In actual fact, it’s a defense contractor modeled after a Pentagon unit.

But I did learn that the commission uses Gmail!
6. The Obama administration was jokingly called Google dot gov.

If the next administration wants to avoid Big Tech taking over the functions of government, Biden will have to protect Americans from the new military–industrial complex that is already underway in full force.
