1. Remember Arshad Warsi (Circuit) from Munna Bhai MBBS? Whenever Sanjay Dutt felt that the situation was out of control, he contacted Circuit. Even in the stock market, Circuit plays a similar role!

2. A circuit limit or a circuit breaker or collar, indicates the limit, either upper or lower, that a stock could rise or fall before a trading halt would be implied on that particular stock for a specific time frame.

3. When a stock hits an upper circuit, there will be only buyers and no sellers. Similarly, when a stock hits a lower circuit, there will be only sellers and no buyers. Circuit breakers differ across the markets.

4. UCL represents upper control limit on a Control Chart, and LCL represents lower control limit.

5. A Control Chart is a line graph that displays a continuous picture of what is happening in production process with respect to time.
