GP Looks like media has settled on the narrative of "white supremacists" being solely responsible for the riot at the Capitol.

I have thoughts.

1/n
GP If media (and thus the establishment because media these days is little more than a transmission method for Democrats' preferred narrative printed verbatim from copy provided by Democrats) thinks this, it is sorely mistaken.

2/n
GP I did not participate in and would never storm the Capitol (outside exceptional circumstances not present here (e.g., war)).

I do understand better than media what's going on here.

3/n
GP Media, Democrats, and the establishment have spent the last four or five decades pissing on middle America, blue collar workers, and the poor. Mostly on middle America.

Middle America has noticed and does not much like it.

4/n
GP For several decades, say Clinton's first term thru Bush's last, middle America grinned + bore it as our "elites" outsourced their jobs, restricted their gun rights, destroyed their cities, tarred them as racists, + sat idly by as opioids, alcohol, + despair killed them.

5/n
GP Middle America tended to vote for Obama. In fact, it is likely they (along with historic black voter turnout) won the election for Obama.

Their faith in Obama's promise of "hope and change" was short lived.

6/n
GP At this point, after the rise of the Tea Party, and after the establishment "elites" managed to mostly put that down, middle America had had enough.

They were ripe for a populist revolt. And Republicans, Democrats, and media completely missed it.

Trump did not.

7/n
GP Trump nurtured this discontent. He courted this groups' votes for the first time in a generation or two. He heard what they were asking for and he promised to do something about it.

8/n
GP Trump became one of the approximately 1,193 Republicans vying for the nomination, descending the gold escalator into the hearts of what would become his base.

No elite thought he had a chance. They disdained him as unfit and improper, a pussy grabber.

So did I.

9/n
GP But an interesting thing happened. This forgotten America, this frequently shat-upon-by-"elites" group of Flyover human flotsam and jetsam dragged Trump into the Oval Office to everyone's great surprise.

Including Trump's.

10/n
GP And that's when the path to the Capitol riots really began.

Within hours of Trump's election (and Hillary's refusal to admit Trump is a legitimate president), media and Democrats set out to ruin him.

Unbeknownst to America, Obama and Biden did so before the election.

11/n
GP Pussyhats, "not my president," Russian collusion lies, a corrupt FBI witch hunt result in nothing but process crimes, Democrat lies and stonewalling on evidence (looking at you, Rep. Schiff), and general media shittiness commenced apace, determined to hamstring him.

12/n
GP Middle America watched and learned.

They learned that Democrats, media, and the establishment (DME) didn't really mean it when they said if Middle America (MA) wanted things change, win an election and change things.

MA won the election. DME refused to let them win.

13/n
GP MA learned the cake is a lie.

That is, DME doesn't really believe in democracy any more than most of them believe in God, Western values' supremacy, the Constitution, or our democratic republic.

DME believes in power: gaining it, keeping it, and defending it.

14/n
GP MA learned that DME would do *anything* including lying, jettisoning their credibility, violating laws and the Constitution, and encouraging "resistance" (which is gee dee close to insurrection, IMO) to keep things the way they like them.

15/n
GP But weirdly, things got better for MA. Trump's economy got significantly better because his instinct that government interference in business was bad and should be pared back worked.

MA, the poor, and *minorities* did radically better under Trump than Obama.

16/n
GP Trump appointed conservative judges, got three on SCOTUS (poor, dead Merrick Garland), and with Cocaine Mitch's help, made Democrats and media his bitch.

This did not go over well, so naturally Pelosi and her merry bunch of pious dweebs impeached Trump.

17/n
GP Between the bullshit impeachment (the first one, not this one (though this one was far too speedy and political)) and the Democrats' pure evil behavior in the Kavanaugh hearings, the "resistance" (insurrection) continued.

18/n
GP And them came the 'ronas. Trump wanted to shut the borders. Democrats called him and his supporters racists (again) and xenophobes (again).

Then when the 'rona's got here, DME shat on Trump for *not* closing the borders.

19/n
GP DME insisted we shut everything down, cripple Trump's booming economy, and pretty much do nothing forever. Oh, and listen to "science."

And then science flat-out lied to us. Don't wear masks. It's not airborne.

20/n
GP Even assuming Fauci and others were merely wrong, they never apologized.

Media lionized the shutdown king Andrew Cuomo who literally killed thousands of old people in nursing homes by requiring the homes to take infected but recovering patients back.

21/n
GP Then came the BLM protests/riots. DME excused the violence, the looting, and the arsons as "the language of the unheard." DME elevated a Marxist based BLM to moral authorities and branded Trump and his supporters racists for the crime of existing.

22/n
GP Next up, after America's Summer of Totally Not Burning, Looting, and Rioting, the elections.

Because of the conveniently maintained shutdowns, Democrat-run states pushed mail in voting for all despite being completely unable to make this work.

23/n
GP Many (including me) noted that the utter lack of experience and preparation practically guaranteed errors at a minimum and opportunities for widespread election fraud at worst.

DME laughed the suggestion away with scorn.

24/n
GP Trump lost the election. People who noted the election was so unusual as to engender suspicion from the get-go without even mentioning fraud were instantly pariahs, deplatformed and doxed by woke leftist social media platforms.

25/n
GP MA watched as DME mocked them for reasonable concerns about the election from the massive number of mail in ballots, never before done, to the last-second election rule changes rammed through by Democrats (PA, etc.).

DME would brook no dissent. MA learned.

26/n
GP Trump (IMO to his everlasting shame) fanned the flames of MA's reasonable anger.

A small subset of this group of MA, fed up, stormed the Capitol, overwhelming an inexplicably unprepared security force.

27/n
GP Some of the rioters clearly had planned for this. Some were clearly bent on regime change. Some were armed. Some *may have been* white supremacists.

It was bad. Very bad. Inexcusable.
GP But along comes DME to overplay its hand yet again.

Clearly, the rioters were *all* white supremacists. They were *all* operating on secret orders from Trump. They were *all* evil Nazi usurpers.

29/n
GP And DME decides that because all the rioters were evil, Nazi, white supremacist, anarchist, militaristic morons from icky Not-the-Cool-Kid-Cities, thus *ALL* Trump supporters must be the same.

And this brings us back to my first tweet. DME misreading the Capitol riot.

30/n
GP Trump was elected because of DME arrogance.

Trump's support held despite all the crap and chaos he brought because of DME arrogance.

In part, the Capitol riot occurred because of DME arrogance.

And the fracture of America will not heal because of DME arrogance.

31/n
GP Middle America learned a lot about the game and its rules during Trump's term. They learned they can do whatever they want because DME will hate them and lie about them regardless.

32/n
GP And DME has learned nothing. DME continues to repeat the mistakes which got America to this point.

Media continues to shit on Trump and Trump voters.

Democrats continue to disregard Middle America and divide us further.

The establishment continues its grift unabated.

33/n
GP This is why DME has misread the Capitol riot as a death knell when it reality it was the sharp cries of a newborn and reinvigorated populist movement.

Biden will fail in uniting the country. DME isn't interested in unity and MA knows it.

34/n
GP Trump may or may not continue to lead. But the movement and the schism between the Two Americas isn't going anywhere until DME changes its ways.

Happy Tuesday.
