Given recent events, I thought you might be interested in some of the 'Sea of Opportunity' backstory and politics

Scottish Parliament held a "sea of opportunity" debate in Jan 2017 - the debate was a fight between SNP & Tories as to who most disliked the Common Fisheries Policy
Some very interesting statements in there though
-Ross Thomson quoting SFF "we don't need a single market"
-Fergus Ewing "the CFP has had its day"
-Tavish Scott "the EU market... is and will be essential"

In March 2017, at @SP_RECcttee
-SFF CEO promoted the 'Sea of Opportunity'.
This time with views from other sectors too,
- @CreelScff calling for retention of CFP Article 17 & concern re documentation
- @CalumDuncanMCS promoting localising seafood sales
