Why Brexit? It's nothing to do with the economy or it would have been suffocated at birth. No, it's about the ruling class taking back control of their money and their laws and their borders. They want to rule. The EU tried to restrict their freedom too much.

The EU tried to force them to pay their taxes. How dare they! We are British! We can't have this!

Added benefits: laws the EU preserves, like worker protection rules, can now be scrapped. The ruling class is taking back control.

Added benefits: we can treat foreigners like scum with no comebacks. Our borders, our petty fiefdom. We can do as we please.

There is no higher court than the British courts, which we can stuff with our patsies. The plebs no longer have recourse to justice which is out of our own control.

Viewed through the lens of the rich and powerful, it makes perfect sense. Brexit makes it even easier for them to act as they please without having to take responsibility for the general public. We don't matter except as units to generate their wealth.

Parliamentary democracy is already being bypassed. Gerrymandering is nothing new, but it's going on in the background. There are whispers of ID cards being required before you may vote. It's not inconceivable that other methods to restrict the franchise may be introduced.

This is what taking back control really looks like.

It's feudal thinking. It's as if the Jacob Rees-Moggs of this world want to sit in their lavish manor houses, while tied workers work for a pittance and surrender a large percentage of their produce to their Lord. This is possibly the truth, deep down.

It's as if the last 600 years never happened. The mindset doesn't appear to have changed.

It's all about taking back control - from us. They don't want democracy, which literally means rule by the people. That's the heart of it. Everything else is just propaganda and lies.
