Spotify is pushed because majors have shares in the platform so get paid twice! Tidal has the best rates for rights owners and writers but is vilified because the majors don’t have any piece of it!

However I do not think that streaming is bad at all! It’s opened up the industry and the ability to put out music! The only issue is the writer share and that’s because publishers were last to the table so got the scraps out of the deals!

Streaming platforms are paying out loads mayne a little less should go to the label and a little more into the writer share. The royalty rate for writers is simply not high enough! Rectify that and streaming is amazing for all!
