A Labour politician who preaches equality while sending their kids to private school is a hypocrite. That may be inconvenient for Sarwar but it doesn't stop it being true. And it would also make it impossible to be First Minister. We've been over all this before. https://twitter.com/paulhutcheon/status/1351445592300466182
No you see, this is just delusional. Even if you think Scotland's state schools aren't good enough for your precious children, the fact you are buying them an advantage most can't afford IS an issue. As it should be.
The fees for the school Anas Sarwar sends his kids to. For a lot of people in Scotland (the ones Labour likes to think it represents) a single year's worth would be a life-changing amount of money.
And these are schools that exist for the purpose of allowing rich people to segregate their kids from the scruff. They don't really sell a better education - the product is a concentration of existing advantages and the peace of mind of knowing you're not one of "them".
Education is going to be a big issue at the coming election and will continue to be a huge issue after that. Every time Anas Sarwar tries to talk about it this will come up. As it should.
Private schools exist to maintain inequality.

You cannot claim to want to fight inequality while paying thousands upon thousands of pounds every year to help maintain it.

This is not a complicated issue.
