I wanted to show how more assists doesn’t necessarily mean better playmaking. For that I’ve created a compilation of Suarez Vs. Ibra videos just to explain how Suarez has benefited by having elite finishers in his team. Sometimes the assists are just Messi Magic.
I have a few more but that should do it. Just to be clear I’m not trying to undermine Suarez as a player. It’s just playmaking shouldn’t be judged with who has more assists. Messi literally turns normal passes in non threatening areas into goals and some miss sitters in the box.
