THREAD: The staff behind
Wonder Egg Priority - introducing a group of experienced key animators and artists promoted for the first time to a leading staff role!

Wakabayashi Shin (若林信) has a long career as key animator and storyboarder: https://www.sakugabooru.com/post?tags=shin_wakabayashi but this is their directorial debut, and they have only directed a couple of anime episodes before this - including ep8 of Eromanga Sensei, noted for its strong character acting
The character designer, and as is often the case for anime, also animation director is Takahashi Saki (高橋 沙妃). While this is her debut as character designer, she has a solid history+
as a Key animator associated with Wonderegg’s Clover Works studio https://www.sakugabooru.com/post?tags=saki_takahashi and she worked as Animation director on Her Blue Sky
Concept art by Taracod - looking at their Pixiv art there's some definitive similarities to what we see in the anime https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/10502306
The series assistant director is Yamazaki Yuuta (山﨑雄太); his debut in such a role in a full length anime, though he directed the Love Kome series of shorts, and seen recently as episode director of FGO Babylonia ep 5: https://blog.sakugabooru.com/2019/11/02/fate-grand-order-babylonia-05-and-shouta-umehara-heroes-in-the-trenches/
The action director (yes, there’s an action director - expect more of this!) is Kawakami Yuusuke (川上雄介), key animator seen in various action scenes across the likes of Gridman and FGO+
Only previous stint as an action director was on an episode of Black Clover https://blog.sakugabooru.com/tag/yusuke-kawakami/
Kobayashi Keisuke (小林恵祐) is in a position called “Core animator” and also did key animation on ep 1, with a very extensive record of animation direction and key animation under his belt:
Hisatake Iori (久武伊織)… is yet another key animator, no previous history of character design but they’re working on this show as “guest character designer” https://www.sakugabooru.com/post?tags=iori_hisatake
Prop design is being handled by Inoue Haruhi (井上晴日), a key animator and in-betweener who has worked on some prior CloverWorks shows https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=150264
Monster design (yes there is one - and it’s separate from the Seenoevils designer!) is attributed to Kobayashi Maiko (小林麻衣子), who has worked in anime as a key animator and animation director on episodes+
alongside the other staff… but more interesting is her art portfolio with some quite creepy looking creatures on show. Expect something like this in the anime soon http://maikok.com/drawing/
The art director, Funagakure Yuuki (船隠雄貴), has a range of experience in background art, but like many other staff, this is their debut as art director http://pixiv.me/fngkr1214
Meanwhile, the colour designer Nakashima Kazuko (中島和子) and DOP Ogiwara Takeo (荻原猛夫) have previous stints in such roles
Thank you for reading! I covered the main staff listed on the anime's website but if there's anyone else you'd like covering please feel free to comment - and here's looking forward to ep 2 airing today
