As an opener in Test-cricket, Rohit averages 68.50. Away from home as an opener (this series), he averages 32.25 in 4 innings.

In this series, look past his numbers.
Each time that he batted, he ne'er looked in trouble and was reasonably comfortable and self-assured in facing the new-ball. His under par average of 32.25 ain't a consequence of his substandard skillset, but is a repercussion of his poor shot-selection.
On both ocassions in Sydney, Rohit successfully blunted out the new-ball before falling prey to Hazlewood & Cummins. In the first innings in Brisbane (this Test), he faced 74 balls before playing a reckless shot versus Lyon.
In effect, he failed only 1/4 times (today), which is acceptable.
