Ranking my top 15 favorite Pokemon themes/music of all time, a thread: (RETWEETS APPRECIATED)
Pokemon has shaped my childhood, to where I even still play the games today. One thing that’s really stood out to me has been the music, which I’ve always enjoyed. Seeing as I’ve always been on my Pokemon Music Twitter agenda, I felt like it would be a perfect way to leave.
15. Pokemon Black/Pokemon White - Battle! Team Plasma
This battle music is nothing short of a bop. The best villain battle music in the franchise by far, and for sure better than its successor in Black 2/White 2.

14. Pokemon Black/Pokemon White - Battle! Rival
This theme brings back lots of memories with the repeated battles against Cheren and Bianca from what I think is the best story in the entire Pokemon series. It’s a light and fun bop, with some intensity.

13. Pokemon Black/Pokemon White - Battle! Champion Alder
This is one of the most fun champion battle themes. Matching the intensity of the battle, it makes the Black/White experience more fun. It would be my favorite champion theme if a certain theme didn’t already exist.

12. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum - Eterna Forest/Snowpoint Temple
An ethereal background track that fits the vibe of both Snowpoint Temple and Eterna Forest. It’s somewhat relaxing, but also sort of uneasy at the same time. Nothing else to say besides that it’s really great.

11. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum - Battle! Frontier Brain
One of my favorite battle themes. So fun and energetic, and fits the intensity of fighting the Frontier Brains. Excluding champions and legendaries, this is definitely my favorite battle theme by far.

10. Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver - National Park
One of the most relaxing themes in the game. It fits the perfect vibe that the National Park brings. It is extremely beautiful, and if not for spots 4 and 9, this would be the highest theme outside of battle and cutscenes.

9. Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum - Routes 228/229/230 (Night)
Definitely my favorite route themes. Only at the endgame of D/P/Pt, it matches the long trek to get to anywhere like the Resort Area or Stark Mountain. Really a vibe, and the best route music in the games by far.

My favorite Pokemon game of all time is HeartGold by far. The buildup to the legendary fight against Ho-Oh will remain one of my favorite musical moments in the franchise.

Hearing this while playing Black 2 as a child really metaphorically injected me with the intensity I needed to finish all of those gym battles as strong as I could. By far better than its predecessor.

My favorite legendary battle theme by far. Somehow, HGSS was able to do the legendary theme of RSE better than both the original and ORAS. Will always remain a banger.

5. Pokemon Black 2/White 2 - Battle! Cynthia
Out of the three variants of this theme, this was definitely the best. More high-paced than the original, and more intense than the first two variants. While the original will always give me flashbacks, this variant is just as great.

Being the Pokemon League theme, it offers a calming and refreshing moment to finish your journey through the game, and it remains my favorite non battle and non cutscene theme in the entire genre because of this.

The best intro theme for legendaries. Adding to the Reshiram and Zekrom cutscene with a sense of grandiose and intensity, it instantly gave me chills when I first listened to it.

1. Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire - Ending Theme
This theme is nothing short of beautiful. To cap off the best Pokemon 3DS game, the producers wrote a medley of each town’s themes to signify the journey made across Hoenn. It would probably be the one single theme from (1/2)

Pokemon that would make me cry, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. After each town theme is gone through in the medley, the outro plays, which is absolutely beautiful. This ending theme is in my top spot for a VERY GOOD reason. (2/2)
End of thread! This was something I really enjoyed making, and something that took me a while to type out and remake THREE TIMES, I would appreciate if you guys gassed!
