I JUST REALIZED I RECOGNIZE THESE PAINTINGS

they’re by Hieronymus Bosch, a Dutch painter who lived from 1450-1516

omg i’ll continue in thread
These are cropped frames from The Garden of Earthly Delights (1503-1515)
The painting is a triptych. the left panel depicts the Garden of Eden, the centre a false paradise of sin and lust, and the right panel is Hell.

The two frames in the ROSARIO video are from the centre and right panels.
This frame is from The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things (c. 1500)

the centre of the large circle is the eye of God, and it’s surrounded by the seven deadly sins (wrath, envy, greed, gluttony, sloth, lust, pride)
The “four last things” refer to death, judgment, heaven and hell.
not much is known about Hieronymus Bosch, but his work was rly unusual and seems way ahead of its time.

Salvador Dali (1904-1989) was greatly inspired by Bosch’s paintings and techniques
This one’s from the centre panel of Bosch’s The Haywain Triptych (c. 1516)
This painting follows a similar narrative to The Garden of Earthly Delights.

The central panel depicts fools engaging in a variety of sins
This one’s cropped from Bosch’s The Last Judgement (after 1486)
This is the full triptych! It depicts Eden on the left panel, and hell on the right panel.

The central panel (where the ROSARIO frame comes from) has Christ as a judge in a celestial sphere; sinners are being punished below him
And the last one I could find, this painting wasn’t by Bosch, but one of his followers.

It’s titled ‘Christ’s Descent into Hell’ (c. 1550-1560)
END OF THREAD

If anyone is curious about the paintings in Epik High’s Rosario MV, here they are!

These r mostly scenes of sin, punishment and hell by Hieronymus Bosch, who himself was ahead of his time. Quite perfect for the themes of the song 😌🔥
