Why does the EN community have to be compared to the culture of Japan and the standards of Hololive. We live in a different culture and the only policies we are required to follow are the TOS for your chosen streaming platform and your preferred social media platform.
We are independent vtubers. The name says it all. We aren't tied down by the same idol culture standards as Japan nor the company policies of Hololive. So why are we being criticized for being predebut when we don't have a company to give us everything we need to become a vtuber.
Why are we being criticized for speaking our minds on real life issues that are affecting our real lives. Why are we being tied down by this idea of being an escape for others when we are the same as other streamers, just utilizing live2d technology to protect our identities.
People need to understand we as independent vtubers have to spend our own money and time to become a vtuber. We don't have companies to back us and provide guidance and financial aid. We are working hard to provide content and make friends within the community.
The EN community is simply a separate community inspired by the vtubers of the Japan, but we are separate from them and therefore shouldn't have the same standards put on us as them. This community is amazing and full of so many hard working people making their dreams come true.
Sorry about the thread I just really wanted to get this off my chest because all of this drama involving the EN community has given the community a bad reputation. This community is amazing and it deserves to be represented as a separate entity from the JP vtubing community.
If you read the full thread thank you and I appreciate your time. I hope you have a wonderful day!
