I would like to start this thread off by stating that I am NOT a financial advisor or a crypto expert.

I'm just a nerdy nympho who fell down the crypto rabbit hole, now sharing what I do know so you can learn more and make informed decisons.
Let's talk crypto, again I am not an expert, but I do have alot of love for cryptocurrency as it opened alot of doors for me. Now, crypto is highly volatile, but as a risk taker, I love this. Even though it is high-risk, it is also high reward. So what exactly is cryptocurrency?
Cryptocurrency is digital money that is encrypted & decentralized that works on blockchain technology. It is a real, yet highly volatile asset with frequently fluctuating values. It can be invested or used to buy goods & services.
There are over 7,000 different crypto tokens. The most widely known being the first #Bitcoin / $BTC
There's also my favorites #ethereum / $ETH #Litecoin / $LTC #NOTE / $NBTC #dogecoin / $DOGE All these tokens along with the others run on blockcahain tech & are stored in a wallet
In the simplest terms a blockchain is a ledger spread over many computers (called nodes) that allows for anonymous peer to peer transactions to be tracked & processed.

A crypto wallet is an encrypted address on the blockchain that allows for you to store & retrieve crypto assets. Each individual token requires its own wallet address. You can't send BTC to an ETH wallet for example or DOGE to a Bitcoin wallet. If you try, your assets get lost.
Because of the way that wallets work there are many options, with some being more secure than others, like hardwallets, which are stored offline rather than an app. Some wallets accept multiple tokens & give you multiple token addresses. Others have exchanges built in.
Some wallets work with seed words while others work with passwords or codes.

WRITE DOWN THIS INFORMATION & KEEP IT SAFE.

IF YOU LOOSE IT, YOU LOOSE ACCESS TO YOUR ASSETS.
My favorite wallet for work is @spankpay. It's sexworker friendly & easy to use allowing the acceptance of discreet, secure crypto or debit payments which I can HODL, transfer to an exchange or withdraw to my bank account.
Sending payments on @spankpay is easy. Simply put in the amount, hit payme, then follow the instructions for your chosen payment method. If you choose debit it will ask for your debit info & if you choose crypto it will give you the wallet address to send to.
As I mentioned above, hard wallets are more secure than a regular crypto wallet. Although both are encrypted, a hard wallet is an offline device making it a more secure option for storing your assets.
Ledger & TREZOR are the most recommended brands for a hard wallet to HODL your assets. In my journey down the crypto rabbit hole, I've learned that @SpankChain makes or made a vibrator hard wallet & well quite frankly, I want one. đź‘€
(Wouldn't it be cool if they sent me one 🙏)
You may think I spelled hold wrong above, but this time that was an intentional typo. HODLing is a crypto term for holding onto your crypto assets rater than trading, selling, staking or withdrawing. The term was coined off of a typo made by a bitcoiner years ago.
So how do you know how much your crypto is worth? Well you can track the crypto market with a market analyzing tool, some wallets have this built in but my favorite way to track the market & crypto news is @coingecko which can be found online & has both Apple & Android apps.
@CoinGecko is great because it allows you to keep tabs of your favorite coins by setting notifications. It also gives you really great data analysis tools along with the latest crypto news.
Trading crypto can be quite profitable if you play your cards right. Some people even make a living off of day trading. I'm not a professional day trader but I do love me some good trades.
To be completely honest, I trade on a whim based solely on my intuition & the good old sell high buy low motto so I really don't have much advice to give here aside from do your own research & watch for the right time to make whatever move you decide to make.
Crypto Mining was introduced to me by one of my first crypto daddies when they were explaining crypto to me. Crypto Miners earn crypto qfor verifying & adding transactions to the blockchain via hashcodes.
It's possible to mine crypto using a laptop but to make a decent profit you'll need to invest in a nice pc with a great Graphics Processing Unit. Most miners have mining 'farms' with multiple GPU's set up in a special way.
Another way you can earn with crypto is by staking. Now im still trying to fully understand this concept myself but basically you lock your tokens in a proof of stake contract for a set amount of time to participate in transaction validation & you earn passive income off of that.
Now staking isn't entirely like compound interest (who knows maybe it is remember im NOT a financial advisor just an enthusiast) but when I think of staking I think of compound interest. Maybe that might help you understand it a little or maybe my brain processes things weird 🤷‍♀️
A digital Currency Exchange (DCE) is a platform ran by a business that allows for you to buy, sell, trade, wrap or stake your crypto assets. You can also cash out to fiat via an exchange. Every exchange is different but they all work in the same way.
There are MANY different exchanges out there, the one that's best suited for you is going to depend on your location & what your trying to do.
All Crypto transactions have a transaction fee, this is called GAS. GAS prices fluctuate just as frequently as the values of crypto currencies do. There's resources to calculate these like the ETHERSCAN GAS tracker and The Ethereum GAS Station. I highly recommend doing so.
My new favorite social media platform is @BlockchainNote which is a crypto social network that allows for you to recieve crypto tips in $NBTC or $NOTE
For the most part the community there is pretty great. I love using their post to Twitter feature but I also post exclusive nudes
