From a QB perspective (in general, not specific to Wentz) McDaniels is probably a good hire. Everything else (outside of scheme) leads a lot to be desired.
I know it’s going to be popular to point to Brady and credit him for everything so I went back and watched some of his games with the 2011 Rams when he was OC there and they ran a lot of tempo with the great Sam Bradford, something Wentz seems to thrive in
During his time in New England (and you’ll probably remember this from the Super Bowl) they used a lot of pre-snap motion to identify coverages. He does a good job of giving the QB an advantage presnap in various situations
Last bit, talking with our friend @MarkSchofield earlier, one other thing he does really well in tempo is getting the personnel out there that exploit matchups and then just spamming no huddle. Think how they used White, Henrandez, etc.
Does make you wonder though about a guy who did this right off the bat https://twitter.com/gobirdsgosixers/status/1351252498670120962
