Personally, I think major set backs are provoked by:
1. Loosing focus.
2. Feeling pressure.
3. Wasting time.

I find focus is a direct correlation of the people you spend your time.
Being isolated is as dangerous as surrounded by negative people.
So: find an amazing team, befriend fellow founders, keep an open calendar and actively scout great customers.

If you are financially responsible, pressure will most likely come from success than failure.
My hacks:
1. Celebrate wins
2. Learn to rest
3. Pursue things you enjoy.

Finally, wasting time is inevitable: weeks will be lost and you'll find your hard work sometimes was futile or even pernicious.
But I try to:
1. Not to feel blame
2. Spend at least one hour thinking.
3. Over communicate my ideas.

Keep moving, and with some luck or insight you'll get where you want to be.
Thanks to @NoCodeCarlos for inspiring this threads. I'm curious, founders, how else do keep motivated?
