I hesitated posting this. It’s a harsh reality & one that’s whispered about but never really put front & center. We are a year into this horrible disease, we are making any & all decisions to preserve life from this disease, we have forgotten about other illnesses.
This is a look at the repercussions of doing that. Look at their faces. These children deserved so much more.
So did their parents. We need to work on solutions that do their best to keep EVERYONE safe. 1 in 4 young adults are struggling with suicidal thoughts since COVID hit.

Iris Allen was a freshman in high school. Just 14 when she completed suicide by hanging on November 9, 2020.
Donovan Krauss, ended his life on January 4th, 2021. He was 12 years old. His mother shared a heartbreaking post.

Dylan Buckner was 18 years old when he ended his life by leaping to his death at an Embassy Suites on January 7th, 2021.

Rodney Moore Jr. ended his life on January 2nd, 2021, he was 14 years old.”

Kodie Dutcher ended her life on July 2020. She was 10 years old. She left her mom a note that read
“Mom, I Love you but I Can’t Do It. Bye.”

Spencer Smith left a note for his parents, writing about feeling locked in the house and growing apart from his friends. He ended his life on December 4, 2020. He was 16.

Landon Fuller, an outgoing 11-year-old from, loved to make people laugh. He ended his life on April 23rd, 2020.
Jazmarie Nieves was 13 when she committed suicide on June 22nd, 2020.

I think a lot of you completely miss the point. We have no idea if opening up would’ve changed anything. BUT and that’s a HUGE BUT, what we are doing now is 100% not working. At all. Not when it comes to Covid, suicide, overdosing, domestic violence, abuse etc.
I also would implore those who feel their kids are doing well at home to google a little. Many of the parents of the children in this thread had absolutely no idea their child wasn’t happy. I think that’s the scariest part. You may think your child is thriving at home. Are they?
