*Thread* - Thinking causes more problems then it solves

What actually solves things is...
Adrenaline & stress are designed to trigger action

- Negotiating with emotions doesn't work

- Trying to control emotions often fails & requires tons of energy

If you feel freezing, the solution is to move & get warm

Not to trick yourself into thinking you're warm
Emotion is energy in motion

Without a change in motion, emotion will not change

Mindset, willpower, perspective shifts

Are tools deployed AFTER the feeling

Through routines, habits, challenges, environment, etc

The feelings that come are more optimal & consciously selected
Tools fix things

If you're always relying on tools - Willpower, perspective reframes, mental models

It means the vehicle keeps breaking down

Restore at the vehicle level
Instead of always reacting at the tool level
93% of communication is non-verbal

Actions speak louder than words

To try to negotiate with feelings through dialogue of the mind is 7% of your power

Through actions, behaviors, routines, new challenges, new environments

You tap into that 93%
"Change your thoughts" is the promoted solution to everything

Trying to solve mind with mind is like trying to operate on your left hand with your left hand

If someone is lazy he is not going to think his way into being productive

The better way is...
Action

Getting a job, taking on a commitment, changing environment, spending money to get into something

Now the energy within him changes it's motion

Some adrenaline kicks in, some fear, some incentives which legitimately trigger dopamine
We are wired to conserve energy

We get what we need not what we want

Fast twitch fibers, oxygen, blood flow increase won't be triggered until you start sprinting

Feeling productive won't be triggered, until a immediate demand is seen
