Quick thread, since I’m getting a lot of requests.

When you are asking a creator to come do a stream/event/project, PLEASE include the following:

-Where it will air (include a link, if possible)
-When the event is happening & time commitment (Date, time, rehearsals/tech, call)

-Is it paid? What is the rate?
-If unpaid: Is it a charity event? For whom? Is the channel monetized?
-Who else is involved?
-Tech/Broadcast info (Zoom/Discord/Skype? Audio-only or video?)

Please keep emails/messages short and to the point, and keep correspondence on the same platform/account.

Also, for me, please let me know:
-Do you have substantial involvement of marginalized creators?
-What accessibility resources will you have? Is it captioned?

Including this info shows creators that you value their time and energy. (Writing five emails to clarify is one thing when there’s one request. It becomes a full-time job when you have fifteen or twenty.)

Make it easy for people to say yes to your work.

And please remember: no one can buy groceries by participating in charity events—respect the energy and time people give to them. Time has value, and please PAY YOUR CREATORS when you can.
