We had a lot of *really good* protest reporters visit RVA today. I'm gonna thread 'em up here, because (1) it's cool as hell to see them reporting from my city, and (2) they didn't credulously print a bunch of fash press conferences because they're smarter than that.
Talia Jane ( @itsa_talia), based in NYC and often seen in DC https://twitter.com/itsa_talia/status/1351271864828628993
Sergio Olmos ( @MrOlmos), based in Portland, who I will forgive for not referring to this space as Marcus-David Peters Circle. https://twitter.com/MrOlmos/status/1351264234651398145
@HannahAllam who covers extremists for NPR, usually out of DC https://twitter.com/HannahAllam/status/1351197184608399363
(Actually it turns out these are the only three I have, but I suspect they're not the only ones; help? I'm gonna add in the locals next.)

Our local @GoadGatsby would probably take issue with being called a reporter, but he can always be counted on for a top-notch thread. https://twitter.com/GoadGatsby/status/1351254887246536717
RVA local @BarrettGay3 is criminally underappreciated. https://twitter.com/BarrettGay3/status/1351264599849492483
I finally (briefly) met @vadogwoodnews reporters @MegSchiffres and @CoghillArianna who do some fantastic work both for Dogwood and here on twitter. https://twitter.com/MegSchiffres/status/1351287539898998788
The ever-reliable @JLJLovesRVA: https://twitter.com/JLJLovesRVA/status/1351284431194103808
@socialistdogmom who would probably also take issue with being called a reporter, but can you possibly argue with the content quality? https://twitter.com/socialistdogmom/status/1351246125752332290
Okay, I definitely missed some, but I'm going to call this a wrap for now, in part because I need to get moving. Break's over!
