At some point the diversity in gaming discussion has to go beyond streamers to look at recruiting and retainment practices. Because the industry workforce is who make the games, chose the talent for campaigns etc.
As someone with a background in Exec Recruitment, it's interesting to see very few organisations discuss this in detail. The focus cannot solely be on trolls, but how to increase BIPOC talent at the top of funnel for both entry and leadership roles. - @supadupacurl
What are the processes by which you research talent? Which criteria are must haves and what are nice to haves? What community organisations do you partner with or enlist to help you find candidates?

How much scope is there for those candidates to progress in the business?
How much time do you make to mentor this talent if necessary? Do you look at BIPOC talent in other industries with transferable skills?

Is experience in the game a must have or a nice to have?

Where are these discussions?
Who is having them?
