The racial demographics of IL State House District 7 are striking for their high level of diversity. While Rory Hoskins did well in predominantly white River Forest and Forest Park (where he is now Mayor), Speaker Welch excelled with Black and Latino voters. (2/4)
IL State House District 7 is also highly diverse in its educational attainment. The central regions of the district have higher rates of high school diplomas and Associate's degrees, while the east and south regions have higher rates of Bachelor's and Graduate degrees. (3/4)
IL State House District 7 especially has broad diversity in median household income. It ranges from $14,211 in one census block group up to $221,190 in another. When assessed holistically with race and education data, HD-07 is one of the most diverse districts in Illinois. (4/4)
