Meghan McCain discussing MLK is rather odd. Since she loves making sure that we know who her father is, a little history.

McCain also said the MLK holiday would "cost too much money". He backed Governor Mecham's decision to repeal the holiday.
For context, Mecham used the word "pickaninny" to describe Black kids in his book.

Meghan McCain will tie herself to her father's legacy at all costs, why not this?
My father was a good man, but he was flawed. Never once, since he died, have I ever tried to lionize him. His failings as well as his strengths helped to make him the man he was.
