Last year, I interviewed 40 awesome individuals from fields like content marketing, design, UX research, advertising, sales, and more. ✨

Here's 7 nuggets of knowledge I learned. 📚 🧠

👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
#1 Content:

@parker_content from @ZestisApp: When you write, it's often easier and faster to start backward by starting with a premise then finding the statistics or other facts to support your content with.
#2 Design:

@alexmuench, Product Designer at @doist: When designing products, it’s crucial to deconstruct your biases and assumptions by being open to feedback and understanding your users.
#3 Research:

@sineadcochrane, UX Manager at @Workday: Decisions should always be validated with data so that you reduce and mitigate the risk of building the wrong thing or building the right thing in the wrong way.
#4 The power of questions:

@sineadcochrane: Good questions help you make better decisions:

“What are you going to do with this information?”
“What decisions is it going to inform?”
“How are you going to leverage these insights?”

Ask this first before you start any project.
#5 Growth:

@LouisXavierL, Co-founder at http://Growth.Design  shared how he built an audience from 0 to 20,000+ with word-of-mouth as their main acquisition channel in less than a year by connecting on a human level with users. ⤵
"When we first started getting new subscribers, we reached out to all of them manually until we had 100+ new emails coming in every day.

We then tested hundreds of different copies until people started replying with meaningful introductions."
#6 Hiring & Talent Management

@oanamaria, Talent Acquisition Manager at @Wayfair: Create high-intensity feedback loops for your hiring process, onboarding, and talent management programs.

Decision-makers should use that feedback to nurture high-performing and engaged teams.
#7 Authenticity & no BS policy

@LouisSlices: To be authentic, you first need to understand who you are and what you stand for and against. 👇🏻
"A good tip to get started is to ask your friends and colleagues what they think you actually stand for and against. You’re going to be surprised by the answers (hint: they are usually the same)."
