If anyone has been curious about Ruffs dzone system

These 2 pics aren’t perfect but best I could find from highlights..

Our wingers collapse down and cover the high slot area.. Basically make a small box with the dmen while our center (see jack) drifts at the top of the dzone

I really like this, especially for Hughes

Its gonna allow our high skill and good skating centers (86 13 37) to do less heavy work in the dzone and allow us to get out and create chances in transition

This pic is an example of jack pressuring the dman and creating a goal

This dzone structure has done really well so far.. it has limited shots from the slot and so far we haven’t gotten scored on while at 5v5.. we’ve also seen examples of how it’s going to get the most out of jack and we’ll see it more with Nico soon
