I have a friend that asked me a question about the #BlackLivesMatter
movement. I want to share it today on #MartinLutherKingJr
Day because I feel it relevant.
Friend: "Why do BLM feel its okay to be violent, destroy businesses and set buildings on fire?"
Me: "They did that?"

Friend : "Weren't you watching the news?"
Me: "Weren't YOU!?"
Friend : "What does that mean?"

Me: "Do you really think 20 people are a part of a movement for equality? We ALL condemn violence. We ALL condemn looting and burning property. However, people WILL at times hijack
a moment for their personal gain. For me the question is: "What are the vast majority of the people doing?" When there is a Hurricane, @fema is sent to help. Neighboring states send food, water, the @RedCross. They hold fund raising and blood drives. EVERY hurricane has looting
Do we send all help away and label every hurricane victim a terrorist? No. We arrest the looters. We hold accountable. We turn our attention to the REAL problem that applies to both the Hurricane and the racism: people were trying to live their lives and they were targeted."
