Most people want to land into the perfect job immediately. But, I think we create fulfilling worklives by aligning our values, skills and interests; that takes time and much trial and error.
The reality of this generation is that we want to skip the process, but be rewarded with the outcome. The cheat code is simple: endure the process.
I've had tonnes of questions asking, "How do I know that this is the right career path for me?" Well, you'll find out. But, you have to endure the process. Nothing is wasted, if you master the belief that life is a journey of learning + unlearning.
We want to save time, by trying to rush the process or simply ignore it altogether, but that's not how this works. At the height of their career, most people don't get paid just for the one hour you spend with them, you pay them for the 10/20 years they worked behind the scenes.
You are paying for all of their trials and errors. They can charge you 10k for a couple of hours because those hours are laboured with tens of thousands.
