I have been living in the future and am looking for high conviction seed investors to help me build the most iconic tech venture of this decade.

In this thread, I suggest to view me as part of the product, and to bet on me and my team based on the demo + two pager.

Zoom time..
The holy grail concept of our times is the memex, the real-time interest graph and situational software.

@bgurley described it in his podcast with @patrick_oshag; @cshirky + @kevin2kelly have written about it.

Our product solves for that in a simple + elegant way (see the demo)
It enables productivity in the context of our daily lives’. It helps us hyper-collaborate with others in our wider public ecosystem.

It is something old yet entirely new, like the iPhone was when it first came out.

Gradually, massively useful.
When this product wins, it would have sidelined the smartphone app stores, current social and professional networks, search engines, some ecommerce marketplaces and many, many others.

This is the future which happens because I have consciously chosen to will it into existence.
Now, as arrogant as it sounds, only I can do it. Many others can build similar products, but that doesn’t matter.

There is a level of insight and craziness needed here over a long period of time which I bring to the table.

Let’s dive a bit deeper in my story to see why..
Imagine if you wrote a Twitter thread which an Oscar winning actor’s team picks up for movie rights. You would tell everybody ?

I didn’t.

My focus has been on this venture, day after day, hour after hour. I study, think, build, learn, adapt, am anxious, confident, every day.
I have been in this mode for a few years, reading over 200 books, and making 100s of small notes.

I have read extensively about web history, and have read cross-domain - everything to try and bring ideas to this product.

Key is, I am driven to win. There is no stopping me here.
It’s not just an academic, observer’s pursuit.

I have built and launched multiple products, sometimes pseudo-anonymously, and even as they looked promising, dropped them in the search of the “just right” generic software product.

My bio (shared in DM) showcases them.
Over the years I have conceptualized or built a WebOS, RSS feed reader, city food delivery app, a city chore marketplace and SaaS tool, community chat app...

All of that comes together in this venture in a way which makes sense. It’s open-ended, flexible, endlessly extensible.
The original spreadsheet (VisiCalc) was deliberately designed as an endlessly extensible product and initially marketed to an audience which was the hungriest for it (accounting clerks)

Building backwards from the future is how such products are made.

Same for books -> Amazon.
My conviction in this particular venture is that even after a mis-fired app launch at SXSW in Austin 2018, when I was left with a credit card limit of $0, I didn’t give up.

I thought relentlessly, about product, distribution, and it took me many more months to figure it out.
On a trip to NYC, I slept on the floor of the LGA airport after hanging out with the homeless at Times Square late at night until everything closed down and we didn’t have a place to go.

I had a remote job at a Wall St firm but I had poured my $ in my multiple failed experiments
By mid-2019, I had figured out 300 use cases and seen a pattern emerge.

At that point, I went all-in with the entirety of my net worth + assets, refinancing my house to build + have funds incase I needed to travel to meet investors (a friend even offered to buy me plane tickets)
As the pandemic hit, I entered into build mode, coding the v0.1 of the product myself and feeling extraordinary delight with it.

Then I set out to recruit a team to take it to the next level. People quit their jobs, studies to focus and work with me around the clock to build it.
That v1, is simply the most delightful web product experience there has been in a long, long while.

You feel happy when you use it.

And its potential is something I grasp: how this “toy” can shape our lives’ for the better.
I am simply doing this venture because my background + my story + my drive and conviction make me uniquely capable to bring this type of product across the world.

If I don’t do it, it may not materialize.

The early markets are so big there is often an illusion of success.
If you believe this is how great products and ventures are built, you would know to bet on me and not on the logical pathway which you yourself see.

I am asking you to be humble and believe in my confidence here.

It’s not easy. This bargain will not make sense to most.
In my view of 2025, the product you will see in the demo is the primary software product in our daily lives’.

It seems obvious in hindsight, and too simple. So simple that many can and will try the same thing.

But there is only one who is driven enough here to make it a reality
Please help me connect with the most ambitious seed investors you know, or if you are, I look forward to sharing more with you (demo + two pager).

The future of consumer software is ephemeral. Natural language based. Massively interlinked.

Tweet out apps.

Why would you “go” to a specific app for a function when the world’s functions are at your fingertips ?

I feel unstoppable here now (earnest + formidable).

I am doing this venture because I have fun doing it, it’s needed and I am uniquely capable here.
