2/ Being acute observers of direct flights to JFK and IAD, they set up shop in San Francisco or Los Angeles and discover $15 burritos or $25 craft martinis.
3/ Soon it’s time for the inevitable SF or LA is the next Detroit story. With anecdotes from a CEO, a rich investor and their college friends, everyone is moving out of #California
4/ Missing the vibrancy that is #California capitalism, the 2 HQ moves get reported but the 127 unicorns heading toward public markets gets ignored. As does anything East of I5. Still looking for the stories from Fresno or Riverside.
5/ Yogi Berra would be proud. No one goes there anymore because it’s too crowded. Bay Area real estate prices ROSE 17% in 2020
6/ Worse yet are those leaving who as @hknightsf says, “can be a real jerk about it by stomping off and complaining it was a terrible party anyway — even though you drank more than your share of cocktails, scarfed down the fancy food and manspread on the couch....”
