Late Bishop Muge once protested Kikuyu dominance in civil service under Jomo Kenyatta. He lamented that one could not be served in CBK unless one spoke in Gikuyu. At some point, all PSs were from Kikuyu and mainly Kiambu.

The collapse of NARC left residual tribal grievances that burst in 2007 PEV. People died, shifted homes and properties destroyed. The Kofi Annan led national accord proposed agenda 4 that would ensure tribalism is addressed once and for all. It was NOT, has never been.
In 2013 Kikuyus and Kalenjins openly touted their dominance over others – TYRANNY OF NUMBERS. Jubilee government went ahead to entrench the culture of political and business patronage favouring the two tribes. Totally oblivious of feelings of other tribes
That is why many people are openly demanding that Kenya gets a president from another tribe. Kikuyus and Kalenjins have presided over looting, murder, and destruction. They now hold the country hostage by obstructing reforms that would make Kenya great for all
WSR has taken the greatest offense to this discussion dismissing it as siasa ya ukambila. If he is such a nationalist, we should corroborate it with the list of his nominees to his wing of Jubilee Coalition
That’s not all. Let's see the list of staff in OP and DP. If there is a tribal pattern, why wouldn’t other tribes want their people to be president and deputy - so that their tribes can also become beneficiaries? Stop hypocrisy
Stop the nonsense that it's people who rule not tribe. Many Kikuyus and Kalenjins have benefited from having presidents from their backyards. For those who don’t benefit, the presidency is a liability. We are abused and ridiculed for it. “Kikuyu privilege” it is called
Since policy debates have proofed elusive, let us debate the most constant factor of political mobilization – TRIBE. They divide us according to tribe but we are cheated to talk about POLICY which they never have regard for. Wajinga sisi
Many have argued - “I don’t care who is the president so long as they deliver”. Or “I don’t care tribal appointments as long as they perform.” This is the IDEAL that has failed us. Personally, I desire another president far away from Central Kenya and Central Rift. NO APOLOGIES
