One thing that is abundantly clear when getting asked q from rural hometown about the vaccine: many find it insulting people think they believe it is a microchip.

There is a fringe group who does.

vaccine-hesitant people I spoke w feel like they are grouped in w/ conspiracy
This is a very good reminder to us on social media: please be careful with the jokes about microchips and vaccines and stuff.

Don’t let one bad apple idea poison the well of vaccine hesitancy.

People have TRUE concerns and questions. And each person’s questions are UNIQUE.
For example, one person didn’t want to be vaccinated until their spouse is.

Another elderly person didn’t feel like they should get a shot until all young people vaccinated.

Several pregnant women had questions.

One cancer patient was worried about side effects.
All of these rural individuals are “vaccine hesitant”. Zero of them believe in micro chip theories.
Another person was wondering how to sign up without internet? (I didn’t know what to tell them 😳)

Several undocumented workers are VERY worried about being deported.

A LOT OF PEOPLE didn’t know it was free.
