Reflecting on Johnson it occurs to me he has never been successful in normal terms. He has only been successful through deception.

His is a story of failure made, through smoke and mirrors, to look like success. More recently this has been highlighted by Brexit. (Thread)

The withdrawal agreement he got through by basically accepting most of Mays deal & the EU's original border proposal. But pretended nothing of the sort had happened.

Similarly with the FTA he pretended he had gained full sovereignty when he had done nothing of the sort. The EU as can be expected of a bigger player actually have most of the cards.

He also tried the same approach with COVID. Only to find a virus isn't interested in political games. The reality of Brexit & Covid is now showing the limits of his so called success.

It can't be long now before enough people realise the emperor has no clothes.
