Happy #MLKDay
.
As always, this is the day that I remind you that MLK stood for far more than just racial equality. He fought for fair labor practices, better pay, and safe working conditions.
For this he was called a communist & terrorist. https://www.thenation.com/article/archive/dr-king-knew-that-labor-rights-are-human-rights/

MLK didn't just fight against Black people being murdered by lynch mobs. He also fought for poor White workers who suffered and died in low paying jobs.
He understood that oppression, suffering, and brutality came from the same pit.
He fought apartheid as well as slave wages.

He fought apartheid as well as slave wages.
And, this was why MLK was so dangerous to the ruling class establishment. What he preached was not just about Black and White, but it was about ALL people who deserved and needed justice in every facet of life.
Oppression was not limited to the minority.
Oppression was not limited to the minority.
For this, MLK was labeled something far worse than just being Black... he was derided as a communist --- as anti-American.
Not just because he demanded racial justice for the Black community, but because he demanded labor reforms for workers of all races.

So if you see someone tweeting out about how much they love MLK today, but they spend their other days calling labor and civil rights advocates socialists and commies.
Kindly ask them if they would have done the same to MLK for preaching the same thing?
