All reports of SNA troops being used to fight in Tigray is fake news spread by TPLF propaganda machines. In this video, an Eritrean trained Somali solider says they have NOT been taken to Tigray and they are all still in Eritrea.
The opposition have ran with this story in an attempt to label Farmaajo an Ethiopian stooge. Mahad Salad, a MP from Galmudug posted this picture claiming they’re Somali troops in Ethiopia. In reality they’re Ethiopian troops in November and they’re even wearing a cross!
The story originally appeared on SomaliGuardian, a website with a domain that costs thousands of dollars which Matt Bryden regularly promotes, as seen in this picture. It has become evident that Somali Guardian is a Sahan ran news page used to push false narratives.
Martin Plaut, a South African journalist who is on TPLF’s payroll posted this link from a website called “Eritrea Hub”. When you click on the link it is just a screenshot from Somali Guardian and the site is a blog. Plaut is also under fire for lying about a church massacre.
And finally, these Tigray lobbyists can not agree on the amount of soldiers sent nor the death toll. It is clear that they are making it up due to the random numbers being thrown out. The article says dozens, Rashid says 300, and Mahad Salad says 3,000!
No Somali troop has been, or ever will be sent abroad to fight another nations war. First they claimed Somali troops were fighting for Qatar a few years ago, then recently they said Farmaajo sent troops to Libya, & now it’s Ethiopia. Somali State troops fought in Tigray, not SNA.
