Brief Kira thread from last night. This is an example of something ALL the Pelicans guards can do more frequently. Just push off of a rebound and create an open three early in the clock. Cheap buckets.
I love this set. JJ slips the screen allowing Kira the briefest instant to blow by his defender. Holmes has to help on the drive and that leaves Zion. Kira smartly screens Holmes away.
Also look at the attention Jaxson draws at the dunker spot. Guys are glued on him.

Just a smart play by Kira to attack the closeout and find Jaxson. Being able to attack an off-balance defense is important for the Pels and Kira has that skill in spades.
Speaking of skills that the Pels need, holy hell this pass. Excellent read and find. Check out the Zion screen. I'm going to nitpick one thing here and that is Kira relocating to the corner quicker for Hart. Hart could have also shot but I'm not mad at him attacking the closeout.
Again, Kira just creates GOOD looks. His speed is a huge weapon and his passing is a great asset. He's going to thrive with athletic rollers and good shooters.
