I’m in Richmond, Virginia today for #LobbyDay, where lots of fun characters are expected to be.

So far my favorite Richmond landmark is the big water tower that instead of saying RICHMOND says UHAUL.

It’s basically a press gaggle. Some boogs with their guns posted up past the “no guns beyond this point” sign. It’s pretty mellow. First caravan expected to drive through at noon. #LobbyDay

It’s literally just a free presser for a handful of fash. Can’t drink water without some camera trying to photograph it.

A small group pops up and everyone goes “oop, heads up!” and then someone lets out a massive guffaw peeping that framed photo. Local ancom group. Media now congregating around them. #LobbyDay

Some chuds tried to pass through the Black Panthers. Press rushed in, crowding both groups so they couldn’t get out.

Proud Boys are posted up outside the 7-Eleven on Main because their guys are inside.

Governor O of the Virginia Proud Boys says today’s a day of unity. Asked me what I think of the Boogaloos. When I said I think they’re a joke, he smiled and agreed. Unity!

He told me there’s undercover antifa here. I asked where. He showed me his phone, with screenshots someone sent him of tweets by @socialistdogmom.

This guy brought a sword to #LobbyDay and let me take a photo of him with it. King shit.

Press are slowly leaving, as are the Boogs. Helicopter has been circling overhead for the past hour. Most of the caravan hasn’t shown up yet but the energy here has evaporated. #LobbyDay

Security at CVS says he’s had multiple people hand over their weapons before using the bathroom.

And it appears to be snowing.

Mike Dickinson, former strip club owner and current fascist pulled up with a megaphone to start yelling about nonsense. A very chill demonstrator I was hanging out with says “I’m glad I’m not over there,” which, agree.

A trio of demonstrators were refreshingly hesitant about being photographed or providing any details about themselves but did consent to letting me take a photo of one of their kits.
