I will be blunt but I will be honest.

You are aware that this is a free market.

If a local club approaches you for content, stories, emotions, sell it to them at a premium.
A free market now puts your local professional club on the same wavelength as the thousands of other professional clubs around the world.

You can literally shop around and choose any club in the world.

The Internet also makes it easier for you to find what you’re looking for.
In this free football market, these professional clubs now have to find ways to convince you that their product is better.
You can purchase time from a professional club in return for a relationship, validation from others or the occasional rush of endorphins.
You can literally shop around for a club as if you were shopping for a coffeemaker, toaster, shower curtains.

(Ideally, your professional football club also sells those items on their online retail store.)
When that professional football club cannot fulfill your needs anymore, you can go back on the market and look for another club who will.
When they add a feature you like, you purchase more time to enjoy that feature.

When they remove a feature you liked, you spend less money on that professional football club.
If one day, your professional club loses to a better professional club, you can turn and buy time with this better professional club.

After all, they are in a better position to fill your needs.
Do not underestimate your position as a consumer.
There is no scarcity in the number of available professional football clubs.

This is a buyer’s market.
You are the client.

The football club you choose becomes a service provider.

Now, for every dollar you spend with that client, you are expecting a return on your investment.
Before you spend another dollar with a football club, look at who owns the copyrights, naming rights, logo, domain names of your local football club or franchise.

That's where your dollar is going. Be mindful of that.
