This thread is not over yet! Why did I post it in the first place? Well, because Tools--> Any Time- Custom Search is broke! It won't be fixed in minutes somebody at Google told me: "Unfortunately, this is a long holiday weekend here". Let's fix it right away then! (6/...)

To fix the broken Google custom date search, just do your query as normal (1), add @tbs=cdr: (2) to your query and add,cd_min (3).
