As the Attack on Titan fandom is having a Civil War regarding MAPPA's anime adaptation. I have a few pointers to provide. I will be addressing both factions, the Survery Corps who are enjoying the adaptation and the Military Police Brigade who are critiquing and trolling.
I wanna preface this by saying I don't condone harrassment or cyber-bullying the staff. There's a fine line between trolling and harrassment. You can criticize the staff regarding AOT and anime but don't attack their personal lives, that is not trolling anymore. Let's start now.
The Survery Corps or SC should, first of all, stop giving the Military Police Brigade or MPB attention. If they criticize a staff member, you should make a separate tweet uplifting the same creator. Don't comment on their tweet, don't quote retweet them that is just empowering...
them to criticize/troll even more in the next episode. Don't talk about how the fandom/MPB is toxic or ungrateful, that is just you all reaffirming what they're trying to achieve. Don't acknowledge MPB at all and just ignore them and keep uplifting the staff with each episode...
If the MPB brings up the previous projects of the directors, dont reply but if you want to then call it irrelevant to the situation at hand. They will most likely try to criticize your anime tastes by bringing up other anime you like, ignore this attempt, its just anime. So chill
The Military Police Brigade or MPB should, first of all, talk about how disappointing the adaptation has been or how the director of each episode could've done a way better time if given the time for a later production. Point out to the littlest of flaws and blame the entire..
studio for them. MPB can even say that this certain other director could've director this certain episode way better than the current director. Or how the staff should've worked harder, how they were lazy with adaptation using CGI, how they made characters ugly...
MPB can even go ahead and talk about how this season is the downfall of this anime and you can compare MAPPA to Wit studio. Or bring u[ the previous animes that the directors worked on to defend their stance on why some other director could've done a better job.
And lastly the MPB should weed out the people harrassing these creators personal lives, sending death threats to these employees. These kinds of people aren't real anime fans and taking this too far. Whether you like the adaptation or not, it's just anime. So chill
