In the last 12 months most of us have lost work & seen colleagues and businesses struggle & the live arts are on indefinite pause.
We talked a lot during lockdown 1.0 about achievement - whether reorganising your CV, reading a new play on Zoom or just getting out of bed...

In lockdown 3.0 not much has changed -
STOP obsessing with other peopleâs announcements on social media. Their concert/online stream/new producing house/album is ONLY a good thing to have people moving forward, it doesnât diminish anything youâre doing/lessen your achievements.

STOP thinking of work being âgoodâ or âbadâ⊠Ask yourself - Is the pay in line with industry rates? Is the product good? Will I be looked after? Remember NO Hollywood actors were doing TV (!) when Rob Lowe took West Wing. Things change.
STOP engaging with other people negatively on social media. It will only make you feel worse. Focus on people and threads that uplift and inspire you, even if theyâre silly. Sometimes switch your socials off, even if just a few hours. We all need to do this.
STOP feeling like youâre not good enough. The industry will come back and there IS room for you in it. You are what MAKES this industry, whether youâre an actor, a creative, FOH, producer or anything else.
Just because itâs not 2020 doesnât mean itâs not still hard. Itâs ok if all you did was get out of bed today. Itâs 2021. Itâs ok.
