3 yrs ago today, I got a letter to say I had “highest form (severe) Pre cancerous cells” on my cervix found at my smear test.

I had a procedure and they were removed. It could have been a very different story if I hadn’t attended my cervical screening.

That week, I found out that one of the main reasons women don’t attend their smear tests is because they’re embarrassed about the way they look. They’re worried that their vaginas, legs and tummy’s don’t look how the media say they should look.

And that fear of their bodies, placed in their minds by toxic comments and fake imagery could lead to precancerous cells turning into something much bigger.

Your beautiful body deserves to be checked, looked after and nurtured.

TALK about smear tests

CHECK with your family and friends that they’re up to date.

ENCOURAGE and SUPPORT them to book their appointment if they’re avoiding it.

Let’s love each others bodies when some find it hard to love their own 💜
