All the news, data, stats & #Coronavirus analysis can be found in this thread, updated throughout the day

Monday expected to be another quiet day as most of Europe gets some respite from #Covid19 right now

#Spain and #Portugal remain the problem areas, #Belgium rising slowly
First to recap the overnight news:
#Germany's total for Sunday continued the downward trend, particularly in cases. The death ratio remains high, but it too seems to be falling now.
11,446 new #Covid19 cases (-2,685) and 319 deaths

#Norway with just 206, saw cases fall by 63%
#USA overnight saw another 20% drop in new infections, with 174,560 cases of #Covid19 reported in the previous 24 hours.

A week ago it was over 220,000. However 5 states did not report.
There's likely to be more disruption to data today too as it's Martin Luther King day
2/2
Having such a relatively high number of deaths in a cluster in one smallish country like #Norway compared to 1.8m vaccines in #USA and millions in #UK without deaths, looks unlikely

400 people die in Norwegian care homes every week of natural causes
#Belgium still edging up, with just 61 more cases of #Covid19 detected in the past 24 hours compared to last Monday's daily update.

1,630 is today's figure
Most countries in Europe still reporting ever lower numbers today, but not #Slovakia

A rise today from 860 to 1,060 new cases of #Covid19
However, I suspect this is due to another round of weekend mass testing. The positive test rate is under 17%, and I predict cases will fall
Baltic countries all report lower case numbers today.
However #Latvia is clearly now the worst infected of the three and most vulnerable to a resurgence.
244 new cases there today (-87), infection rate 458 AD/M

#Lithuania 476 (-299), 398 AD/M
#Estonia 265 (-25), 384 AD/M
After a weekend of rising cases #Ukraine reports a big drop today. It's possible a delayed reaction to the lockdown which will continue for the rest of this week.

3034 new #Covid19 infections in the daily update from Kyiv, that's down from 4,288 last Monday morning
Falling #Covid19 new case numbers in Europe today (compared to last Monday)

#Austria 1161 (-375)
#Croatia 174 (-56)
#Czechia 2618 (-1665)
#Finland 168 (-32)
#Hungary 875 (-544)
#Poland 3271 (-1351)
#Slovenia 293 (-135)
#Switzerland has become the 25th nation to pass the significant mark of losing more than 1 in every 1,000 of its population due to #Coronavirus/ #Covid19

The worst hit countries are (deaths per thousand)
#SanMarino 1.91
#Belgium 1.76
#Slovenia 1.54
#Bosnia/H 1.37
#Italy 1.36
Now another episode of #Covid19's "Tales of the (not) Unexpected"

First #UAE
I wrote y'day:
"The last 4 days saw daily increases of 20, 25, 25 & today 21"
Well today another new record & just 18 cases higher at 3,471

And one guess at how many dead in #Belarus?
Correct, 9 again!
