Rappers and their anime counterparts:
Earl/Shinji Ikari (NGE)
- Both have bad parental relationships (especially with fathers)
- incredibly complex mentalities with clear mental health issues
- use their main duties (rapping/piloting the evas) as an escape from their own issues
XxxTentacion/Kite (HxH)
- had potential to be great characters/rappers but careers ended too early unfortunately due to death
- were mentors for new SoundCloud rappers/Hunters
- were used after their deaths (X’s label milked his music and Kite was reanimated by his enemies)
Tupac/Goku (DBZ)
- incredibly influential for rap/shounen anime
- Their music and Anime can be overrated although it is still great
- immensely popular during the 90’s and loved by old and new generations of rap/anime fans
Nas/Gon Freecss (HxH)
- both were very gifted from a young age
- showcased most of their ability at a early age (illmatic at 17/adult gon at 13)
- have not reached their peaks again since then
Kendrick Lamar/Levi Ackerman (AOT)
- Grew up in dangerous areas (Compton/The slums)
- Are related to and mentoring a younger rapper/scout (Baby Keem/Mikasa)
- often recognized as the best at and most skilled at rapping/Killing Titans
Denzel Curry/Alphonse Elric (FMAB)
- both are in shadows of other people (more mainstream rappers/their brother)
- are better at rapping/fighting than most rappers/alchemists but do not get recognized for it
-incredible potential which is still being realized
Kanye/Ash Ketchum
- have had possibly the biggest impact on music/anime in the western scene
- never fully mastered every genre/region however they have been great in every one they’ve attempted
- may be the most iconic personalities in their field (rap/anime)
