Mad that if you dress up fiscal austerity in progressive garb & in the cloak of ‘social-justice’ you can get *some* ppl on the left to defend the idea. The idea of defunding the Police is exactly that, fiscal austerity dressed up in progressive garb & the cloak of social-justice.
Not the first time this type of thing has happened. Mass Psychiatric de-institutionalisation that took place in the 1980s, which Thatcher/Reagan instituted in order to cut costs, had been prefigured by the 1960/70s left-libertarian counter-culturalists in the name of ‘liberation’
