Like for instance Hell. In original texts Gehenna was actually a place where the kings of Judah went to sacrifice their children in fire. But in Anglo-Saxon translation Gehenna was translated into hell or hellfire.

But a lot of present day pastors talk about it like it’s a completely different realm??

I find it interesting how much they downplayed Mary Magdalene’s role in Jesus’ life but He clearly saw value in her.

In the Bible Jesus held his lady disciplines in high esteem. Mary & possibly other women were who he reappeared to first after His resurrection. But the current Bible downplays a lot of their roles.

Toss in the purposeful mistranslation about homosexuality into the Bible which was a paid transaction and you have a text that had a good amount of its original context added to and taken away from for no purpose other than to control and condemn ppl. Not by God but other people.

Then you have to factor in the purposeful white washing of original biblical depictions. Jesus was not a white man and yet here we are with pale skinned blue eyed baby Jesus as our savior lmao like come on.
