I got on twitter months ago confused about why online journalism was failing in a time when everyone was online. I was told it’s because ad money was being pulled, so I reached out to 12 online pubs to enquire about buying ads
Only 4 of the pubs responded at all, 3 never followed up, 1 was great but our ads didn’t end up fitting, and out of all of them I ended up buying no ads despite having a $10,000 marketing budget (at the time)

Seems like if ad revenue is really down, this should have been easier
Can’t figure out if they were all holding out for a bigger whale of an ad client, or if they were just understaffed and missing emails... if it was the latter that seems like a grave mistake
