There are many highly negative side effects
That come with subscribing to the "be a hermit until money is sorted out" philosophy
First off, it puts WAY too much emphasis on money
Which actually makes it harder to make money

If you can't allow yourself to enjoy life until after money is 'figured out'

Imagine escaping hermit mode after making some money
With no social circle, underdeveloped social skills, zero game, no hobbies, and nothing fun in life going on

In my experience it was MUCH easier to take action on business moves when winning in other areas of life
When money is not the only source of good emotions
When it's not a massive life changing big deal to make more money
You're less hesitant & just take action

For these reasons I think the whole "be a hermit until your rich" is one of the worst takes on here
There is of course times where "monk mode" or periods of isolation are beneficial to get ahead on something
There are times when more attention should go to finances
But...

This is why a lot of influencers have a twisted view
They worked on their social/dating life AFTER making money & relying on money
