Hi @CFTNI, raised this privately & got ignored, so now raising publicly. The "future of US democracy" is not limited to white men in their 50s+. There are excellent women who have substantive things to say on this. Please reconsider the #manel next time.

The electorate is half-female. 2 former Secretaries of State have written *books* on American democracy ( @madeleine & @CondoleezzaRice). Twitterless Theda Skocpol has looked intensively at populism & the Tea Party. @cmMcConnaughy writes about women & American democracy. /2
Race & American democracy, in a year when Black Lives matter echoed globally, is also important for the future. See scholars like @ProfBenjamin & @kelly_zvobgo for just 2 people who write on the future American electorate & the impact of race on America's global role. /3
There are excellent female scholars, & scholars of color, working in this area. They are among the best voices on this topic. And representation is a fundamental issue for American democracy. Of all panels, this one should have it. /4
@GrahamTAllison @Joe_Nye, *please think* about what your presence on this panel says to your female & minority students @Kennedy_School. Trust me, that you are ok w/their omission from debate over the "Future of American Democracy" is not lost on them.
You can follow @SheenaGreitens.
