How to hold your current elected officials accountable:
-Email, write, and call them. Marsha & Co.are never going to give you a satisfactory response. They just aren’t. We all know it. That’s not the point. Every single one of them have another election on the horizon. Their aides track communications from constituents.
If no one is pushing on them it’s a lot easier for them to ignore. They need to be held accountable by voters for their legislation, their vote, and their statements. Believe it or not your calls have stopped some of their worst legislation.
-Visit their district offices. You can make an appointment to meet with them if they are in the district or with one of their legislative aides. Many grassroots groups have actions where people go to meet with them in groups or peacefully protest with signs.
At the state level many orgs have legislative days on the hill - find out when they are.
-Push your reps to hold town halls. Check out @townhallproject for resources
