If you’re not into fawning appreciation threads, keep scrolling because today is MY LAURENNIVERSARY, marking exactly one year since I met @lalalaurrennn, and she has been one of my most beloved friends every day since.
I’d met @Mary_Buzbee a month or so prior, and from Day 1 she wouldn’t shut up about her creative partner, Lauren. So we met up as a trio , and the fates were fucking REALIGNED by that moment. (But it was too dark for a photo, so here’s one from our second meetup)
Lauren is the kind of friend everyone wants to have but almost no one is capable of being. Endlessly supportive, kind and thoughtful—but also ready to go to WAR on a moment’s notice if someone crosses her people.
Texts from Lauren aren’t so much messages as they are works of modern art that should be framed in the Hirshhorn.
Lauren thank you for being such a joyous and wonderful friend. You may have moved away, but you’ll always be right here...in my phone, yelling in all caps and being a human hype machine like no other.
